![]() ![]() Part of the reason for the obscurity of the Watership Down score is that the music has been repeatedly miscredited to Garfunkel and Michael Williamson rather than the actual composer, Angela Morley - the first person to transition to be nominated for an Academy Award. While the song ‘Bright Eyes’ performed by Art Garfunkel has a clear cultural legacy, it is a mystery as to why the orchestral music has not been similarly celebrated. I remember the rabbits’ journey and characteristics being evoked in the gorgeous score.
